パンダ発見の日

3月11日はパンダ発見の日。

１８６９（明治２）年、中国奥地の民家で、伝道中のフランス人のアーノルド・ダヴィッド神父が、白と黒の熊の毛皮を見せられた。これがきっかけで、パンダが世界に知られるようになった。

3月10日はサボテンの日。

「さ（３）ぼてん（１０）」の語呂合わせから、岐阜県巣南町の「さぼてん村」を経営する岐孝園が制定。

なんだとか。

サボテンは比較的世話が楽だそうですね。

一人暮らしの人なんかにはいいのかも。

3月9日は雑穀の日。

日本雑穀協会が、語呂合わせと、この時期は食品メーカーから多くの新商品が発売され、その中に雑穀を取り入れたいために制定。雑穀のおいしさや高い栄養価、作物資源としての重要性などの啓発活動を行っている。
