10月23日は電信電話記念日。
１８６９（明治２）年９月１９日（新暦１０月２３日）、東京?横浜間に日本初の公衆電信線の架設工事が着工されたことを記念して、１９５０（昭和２５）年、日本電信電話公社が制定。
なんだとか。
